Houzz, the world's largest community for home renovation and design, with 40M+ monthly users, is looking for a Recruiter to join our People team, based in Berlin. The primary function of the Recruiter will be to source a wide variety of candidates to help build our local Sales team, in addition to helping support recruitment for our operations, client services, and e-commerce teams based in our Berlin office. The Recruiter will be responsible for creating a high quality candidate pipeline via job boards, active sourcing of passive candidates, and other methods. They will build strong relationships and partner closely local hiring managers to deliver a top notch candidate experience. In addition to pre-screening candidates, the Recruiter will be responsible for guiding the candidates through the recruitment process from initial conversations to offer and on-boarding, as well as taking ownership for various employer branding and outreach initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Source and build a pipeline of candidates across a variety of profiles for our Berlin office, mainly focused on Sales recruitment
  • Create a pipeline of candidates via various recruitment tools and best practices
  • Qualify and pre screen candidates prior to presenting to hiring managers
  • Own full cycle recruiting while maintaining a pipeline of candidates
  • Cultivate a top notch candidate experience from first contact to offer and on-boarding
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to deliver high quality candidate experience as well as implement process improvements
  • Develop outreach and branding initiatives in order to improve Houzz's employer profile in Berlin
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high energy sales & service environment
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in German and English required; strong preference for multi-lingual skills in addition
  • Exposure to in-house, full cycle, company recruiting experience
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, start-up environment
  • Verifiable track record of having successfully recruited multiple employees across a variety of roles
  • Knowledge of all job sites, inner workings of them, and effective tools used by recruiters
  • Accustomed to spending most of your day on the phone, making hundreds of calls each week, and conducting phone screens
  • Adept at using passive sourcing tools, email, and social media to reach out to candidates  
  • Impeccable organizational skills, particularly at documenting and reporting the applicant & sourcing flow
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced with LinkedIn Recruiter and other passive sourcing techniques
  • Knows how to see through a resume and quickly assess an applicant
  • Experience recruiting in other start-up, e-commerce, or other tech companies a plus
