Our Trade Team Makes Things Happen
Houzz recently launched the Houzz Trade Program to provide industry professionals with multiple ways to profit from purchasing and recommending products in the Houzz Marketplace. The Houzz Marketplace offers everything from items for major remodeling projects and custom home builds, such as bathtubs and fixtures, to furniture and decor products.
Houzz is seeking a Trade Program Director who will build, drive and execute Houzz’s Trade Program, scaling and managing all aspects of our sales, account management, and support teams for Trade professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our rapidly expanding and successful Marketplace. And, this role is a highly visible position due to its direct impact on both our key goal of creating a superior customer experience on Houzz and on P&L.
We are seeking a strong senior leader with experience and a track record of proven success in a relevant role. This individual is a strategic thinker, process-oriented yet innovative, analytical, decisive and has the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll DoDevelop, scale and manage all aspects of our Trade Program and sales, account management, and support teamsAbility to properly structure the Trade team currently and clear any roadblocks or gaps, in addition to successfully creating a long term strategic vision for the Trade channel within a set timeframeDrive and build team which will infuse your past experience to develop and implement a high performing business unit to meet and over-exceed ambitious goalsEstablish and drive relationships with vendors, hospitality, commercial to cultivate new sales opportunitiesPartner and influence the Buying, Product, Customer Service, Sales Planning, and other integral teams at HouzzPartner and build with Engineering Team to ensure seamless integration of new Trade product enhancements and built from scratch toolsAble to effectively influence, advise, and get buy-off from the CEO, VP, and all other stakeholders on the Trade agenda Analyze current cost of new and repeat purchasers and build and execute a plan to optimize for bothAnalyze sales and NPS scores to identify trends and problems and work with internal teams to address areas of opportunityInnovate ways to positively impact the customer experienceSet, monitor, improve, control and adapt requested KPIs on a quarterly basis together with the relevant teamsOwn P&L for sales, account management, and support Trade TeamsEvaluate business needs and build out team accordinglyPerform various tasks to support company initiatives and goals as neededPromote a positive office culture and environmentAt a Minimum, We’d Like You To Have…Build strong process from scratchAble to function in a highly ambiguous arenaProcess and detail orientedAnalytical with an ability to utilize data to make sound business decisionsDecisive with the ability execute business plans with speed and precisionProven leadership capabilitiesHas led and managed 10+ direct reports and over 100+ indirect reports (some of which are remote teams)Has built a business from scratch and/or lead an aggressive team expansionExperience in scaling a business to a true and formidable enterprise segment10+ years of demonstrated track record of success in a relevant industry related or e-commerce leadership role (relevance in both job duties and work environment)Has executed on a successful 3-5 year vision on scaling a start-up businessIdeally, You’ll Also Have…Trade Program leader experienceStrategic thinking and problem solvingStrong knowledge of Salesforce, Excel, Google apps and featuresFlexible and adaptable to the ever-changing needs of the Marketplace team, and demonstrate a capacity to organize and prioritize your own workloadBenefits & Perks Compensation is a combination of base salary and commissionExcellent benefits package (Start day 1)PTOFull training & developmentCareer growth & opportunityCasual & fun work environmentHealthy work/life balanceFully stocked kitchenContests & incentives
