Houzz is looking for friendly, goal-oriented individuals to join our Vendor Account Manager Team. As a Vendor Account Manager, you will ensure your Key Accounts have a great experience on the Houzz website. The ideal candidate for this position is an excellent problem solver and communicator who loves supporting others. This person remains calm under pressure, has excellent prioritization skills, analytical skills and can convert challenging situations into positive experiences. They also should be very understanding and deeply care about helping vendors.
As a Vendor Account Manager you will work with other Houzz Commerce functions and proactively interact with Key international Houzz vendors, striving to offer our vendors a best-in-class experience on our site.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Working with vendors via different channels to analyze and maximize their commercial performance on the Houzz site, this includes but is not limited to drafting strategies to grow vendor assortment, increasing stock levels and increasing conversion rates.
  • Negotiating promotions and amendments to vendors’ wholesale costs in line with the merchandising calendar.
  • Analyze vendor scores and structure turnaround solutions to improve vendor performance after understanding the main drivers of negative scores.
  • Working with our Customer Experience teams both in the US and in Berlin to help resolve inquiries where an input from the vendor is required.
  • Interacting with European vendors providing timely and effective answers to inquiries relating to order fulfillment, payments, and general account questions.
  • Perform various tasks in support of company initiatives and goals.
  • Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree or higher qualification.
  • Fluency in English and one or more languages
  • Previous experience in B2B client facing roles in fast paced environments (ideally in tech or e-commerce).
  • A proven successful track record in problem solving tasks requiring great attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to learn rapidly and a propensity for constantly acquiring more knowledge.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, remain calm under pressure and think on your feet while supporting and collaborating with vendors and other team members.
  • Willingness to work in a team with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Excellent multi-tasker with the ability to maintain a long-term, broader vision while facing short-term, daily tasks.
  • Strong computer skills (knowledge of Excel and Salesforce is a plus).
  • Enthusiasm about change and eagerness to work in a very dynamic startup environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Team oriented, helpful, professional, focused and positive.
