Job description:  Dealreporter is looking for an Analyst to add to our London-based research team.

To be a successful candidate you need to have strong analytical skills and high attention to detail, good understanding of equity markets and transactions, some experience from a financial advisory, brokerage or accountancy firm, preferably in a corporate finance related capacity.

Responsibilities will include:

• RiskArb: daily analysis of announced and expected merger-arb situations in Europe, monitoring of further material developments
• Research notes: compilation and writing proprietary research notes with detailed analytics of companies’ financials, valuation, leverage
• Special situations: researching and critical analysis of actionable opportunities for our pre-event and special situations coverage
• Editorial team support: work closely with our editorial team in providing analytics for the published intelligence 

 Skills and Qualifications required

• Strong academics, degree in finance or equivalent experience preferred
• Solid analytical and research skills
• Strong understanding of financial statements
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
• Strong computer skills, particularly Excel
• Work experience in the financial services industry would be beneficial
