Reporting to the B2B Sales Manager DACH, the B2B KAM (resident) will assist in defining and implementing the B2B sales plan, specifically focusing on the Direct/End-user B2B Market in Switzerland.

The position is based ideally in the German or French-speaking part of Switzerland – German frontier zone possible (home-office based) and requires intensive traveling in the market.

Presence at the offices of Moleskine Deutschland GmbH (Cologne – Germany) may be requested on a regular basis for coordination and planning activities.


Main responsibilities:


  • Research, develop, identify and quantify new B2B sales opportunities focusing on Corporate Customers, with the aim of achieving and exceeding forecasted sales goals through cold calls, networking activities, direct meeting with customers and prospects, presentations, new lead generation programs, promotions, etc. 
  • Assist Sales Manager to define and proactively drive new business development plan in the B2B arena, Direct Channel; 
  • Develop and maintain existing top Direct customer relationships and open new top direct accounts in order to increase revenue; 
  • Qualify and respond to incoming inquiries about Moleskine custom editions (B2B) sales opportunities; finalizing custom product proposals and order confirmations; 
  • Assist Sales Manager with the sales planning process for the Direct Channel (3 year plan, Sales Budget, Action plans) and owner of the related implementation, 
  • Coordinate sales and marketing materials and new products/customization launches at trade shows; 
  • Develop special promotional strategies in coordination with the sales and marketing teams, attending professional events and trade shows to promote the brand and generate new leads; 
  • Analyze and develop knowledge of competitive products, and market landscape; 
  • Administrative tasks in CRM, maintenance of client database information, frequent reporting about sales funnel/pipeline and opportunities management; 
  • C4C/SAP order processing, customer service and credit management activities. 



Skill Requirements:


  • 3+ years of sales experience as Account / Key Account Manager especially in B2B markets/with Corporate Customers. Working for suppliers/brands and Marketing/Communication agencies; 
  • Active customer portfolio expected; 
  • Strong ability in opening, managing and developing of top accounts in complex structures and multinational companies interfacing with different departments (Marketing, purchases etc.); 
  • Capability in Project Management; Ability to follow multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Experience in a multi-channel selling model / with trade is a plus; 
  • German or French native speaker (Swiss German is a plus); Fluent in English; 
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, CRM; 
  • Flexibility and ability to be effective in a fast changing environment; 
  • Strongly proactive approach; 
  • Effective time- and energy management;
