Responsibilities

  • Have a broad understanding of the whole architecture and its different services and develop in alignment with it.
  • Gain deeper knowledge of the most important services. Contribute to plans for improvement. Detect scalability, integrity or maintainability issues and propose corrective action.
  • Produce code of great quality with the right degree of coverage. Review code constructively, favouring the development of skills where possible. Frequently share your programming expertise and disseminate important knowledge within the practice. Champion code parsimony, quality and effectiveness.

  • Requirements

  • You have at least 6 years of experience in software engineering and a BSc in Engineering or Computer Science or higher degree.
  • You're proficient with Scala in its different styles and paradigms. Experience with Akka is a plus. You're familiar with other languages such as Python, ES6/7 and variants, shell scripting. DDD and TDD are defaults for you.
  • You understand the main programming paradigms and can argue about their applicability to any given problem.
  • Have an understanding of different data stores and their suitability. Fully proficient with relational databases and SQL. Understand how the JVM works and working knowledge of some of its tools.
  • You fully understand microservices architectures and you're familiar with event-sourced ones. You have good working knowledge about REST APIs and associated tooling. You know of other API styles.
  • You have an understanding of data warehousing, data intensive applications and architectures (Spark, Hadoop distributions), data analytics and machine learning.
  • Have a good understanding of agile methodologies and their principles.
  • You have some experience building modern web applications and value a great user experience. You've welcomed the evolution in the languages, build tools and frameworks that have made frontend development more disciplined and productive. Webpack, React are pluses.

  • Essential Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering and a BSc in Software Engineering or Computer Science or higher degree.
  • Understand the principles of software engineering: modularity, encapsulation, immutability, composition, OOP and FP.
  • Knowledge of ES6, React, Node, Redux, Jest, Mocha, responsive design, REST verbs, API design and the JS memory model.
  • Know vanilla CSS and have a clear opinion about its flavours, e.g. SASS, CSSinJS and Styled Components.
  • Experience using tools like Webpack and/or Parcel as well as older tools like Gulp or Grunt.
  • Have a good understanding of agile methodologies, their principles and their ceremonies.

    THE ROLE

    At Moneyfarm we make investing and saving accessible to everyone in a simple and transparent way. For our clients to have a smooth and excellent experience we ensure all banking operations are fast, reliable and with the user in mind. There are a number of activities and tasks which facilitate the smooth running of the activities which allow Moneyfarm to be a leader in the sector. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive and robust Legal Counsel who is interested in a broad, challenging and rewarding role and who will contribute by providing legal advice to the business globally. The role requires the ability to work independently from day one and to manage a diverse and complex workload meeting tight deadlines.

    Reporting Relationship: Reports to MFM Chairman

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Manage and maintain legal entities and required legal documents/ requirements/records

    • Advising on the current regulatory regime in Italy/UK and other jurisdictions, both in the EU and elsewhere, as well as the analysis and implementation of new regulations.

    • Provide guidance and support to various departments within the firm on legal compliance matters.

    • Help structure, draft and negotiate deals/transactions documents and participate in global cross-functional teams to execute transactions.

    • Liaising with outside counsels on a broad range of domestic and cross border jurisdictional issues

    • Adapt and adjust job responsibilities to accommodate changing priorities while managing multiple requirements and timelines; and

    • Monitor for new regulatory requirements that may impact the business and funds.

    KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Minimum of 3 years of finance/banking experience with a law firm or in-house legal department.

    • Working knowledge of diverse legal areas including, corporate, commercial, and banking (wealth management) law.

    • Understanding of banking/financial services operations and issues.

    • Proven exposure to deal with UK contracts and common law

    EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Law school degree

    As a Digital Marketing Executive, you will work on all Digital Paid channels, including search campaigns on Google and Bing, as well as Paid Social, Display marketing engines and Email Marketing across both UK and Italy.


    The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things marketing and technology. You will be well-versed in the concepts surrounding digital marketing and how the Internet can become a strong asset to securing growing revenue. You will be tech-savvy, analytical and highly motivated to take on responsibility and make an impact and last but not least, you like having fun!


    Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to create and optimise targeted digital marketing campaigns to drive new customer acquisition and existing customer retention.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of online marketing activity.
  • Executing tests, collecting and analysing data, identifying trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in digital campaigns.
  • Compiling information for inclusion in monitoring and research reports as requested.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current technologies and initiatives pertinent to online marketing.

  • Day to day tasks:

  • Monitoring campaign expenses, staying on budget, and reconciling discrepancies.

  • Improving the performance of marketing emails by running A/B tests and results analysis.

  • Must have:

  • At least 1 year experience and tangible success in managing digital campaigns in at least one of the following channels: across Display, PPC and Paid Social.
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience generating reports.

  • Good to have:

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS.
