As Moneyfarm moves into the next phase of growth, we are looking to expand the Finance team. We are looking Financial Controller UK. Your position will involve supporting the team  with Account and Control activities for our UK entities. This is an exciting opportunity for a sharp individual, looking for their next challenge in a fast-paced Scale -up. 

  • Manage all current accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
  • Manage payments and prepare bank reconciliation
  • Support month-end & annual close process and prepare timely monthly financial statements Under IFRS
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Work with the rest of the finance team to find new ways to improve current processes and develop creative solutions that are grounded in reality and have practical value.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

  • Basic Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 4 years’ experience in the financial services industry, possible from The Big Four
  • Able to demonstrate technical accounting knowledge in your current area of expertise
  • Experience in preparation of audited financial statements under IFRS
  • A track record of improving processes and adding value to clients/stakeholders 
  • Experience with reconciliation of accounting schedules and monthly closing.
  • Experience with VAT and payroll.
  • Fluent in English

    Job qualifications
    Basic Qualifications- 5+ years as Software Engineer with strong DevOps experience (one of Go, Python, Scala, or Javascript)- Proficiency in Cloud computing platforms at scale through Infrastructure as Code, covering Identity, Compute, Storage, Network, Security, Cost, Performance- Production experience building for Observability including monitoring and logging, and tracing - Production experience working with Container runtimesProduction experience running Container orchestration platforms- Production experience delivering Change Management solutions through Continuous Integration, Delivery, Deployment.
    Preferred Qualifications - Startup and Scale-up experience working within agile teams - Production experience automating the value stream at scale with a shift-left focus - Experience writing CLI tooling and bots to improve the developer workflow at scale - Production experience autoscaling at infrastructure and microservices levels according on (in)organic demands - Production experience working with API Gateways or Service Meshes - Production experience managing configuration and secrets in a Continuous Delivery value stream - Working to core SRE principles including Engineering vs Toil, SL(I,O,A), and Error Budgets.

Moneyfarm is rapidly growing and evolving and we are looking to hire a Head of UK Investment Consultants to lead a team of investment consultants to grow and farm the already large pool of Moneyfarm happy clients. As part of this you will be responsible for designing and delivering the next iteration of our ‘hybrid’ customer engagement model.
    Responsibilities: - Fully own the teams’ targets and deliver the plan in accordance to budget, growing net inflows and share of wallet through customer focussed one-to-one interactions - Define and execute ‘hybrid’ customer service model for the team, combining best practices from traditional financial advisory and sales with newer digital and analytics capabilities - Role model customer-focused leadership and ensure high performance culture through effective people and performance management - Lead, motivate and train the existing Investment Consultant team to manage existing client relationships, develop innovative ways to help clients reach their financial goals and to grow our client and asset base - Keep up to date with developments in financial products, legislation, and competitor propositions as well as changes in market conditions to ensure effective conversations with internal and external customers - Ensure ongoing improvement of processes to deliver the highest level of client satisfaction - Work closely with all other business teams, communicating client feedback to continuously improve our offering and increase client activity - Be an ambassador for the company assisting in press commentary and external presentations.
    The ideal candidate for this role will have: - At least 8 years of experience as a Financial Advisor, with experience serving mass affluent customers (between £100k-£1m AUM) - At least 3 years of experience in building, managing and training a financial sales and/or advisory team- Commercially driven with an entrepreneurial attitude - Experience and ability to develop and deliver a new service model that combines best practices from traditional financial advisory and sales with newer digital and analytics capabilities that enhance investor experience and drive higher investments efficiently and at scale - Proven track record of growing revenue by identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell financial products whilst providing advice to customers - Comfortable making quick decisions despite ambiguity - Strong ownership mentality and the ability to take various perspectives into account.

    - Providing customers with excellent service, via phone, email and live web chat - Supporting customers through each stage of their investment journey by helping them understand and make the most of Moneyfarm’s unique value proposition and responding to their questions and requests - Providing investment consultants with support on customer related administrative activities, including following up on pension transfer documentation, verifying bank statements, sending system emails, and updating client details on the platform - Proactively identifying opportunities for Moneyfarm to provide additional value to customers during interactions, and escalating relevant opportunities to investment consultants - Consistently improving own knowledge and understanding of the product and platforms - Passing on customer feedback to team members and escalating issues to relevant departments - Documenting all customer interactions in our database.
    Main requirements
    - Passionate about customer service and willing to go the extra mile to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction  - Confident, personable and fluent in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills- Proven talent for identifying and escalating potential revenue opportunities arising during client interaction- Comfortable handling multiple live chats at a time- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills- Ability to manage own workload and accurately perform tasks in a timely manner with a high level of attention to detail- Interest in wealth management and technology- Prior experience of working in a customer service role, financial services and using Salesforce is desirable but not necessary.
