As Moneyfarm moves into the next phase of growth, we are looking to expand the Finance team based in Milan. We are looking Junior Financial Controller to report to the Financial Controller. Your position will involve supporting the Financial Controller with Account and Control activities for our Italy and UK entities. This is a exciting opportunity for a sharp individual, looking for their next challenge in a fast-paced mature start-up.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller to prepare regular reports to help management identify financial forecasts, results and key trends
  • Assist with the preparation of reports for banks and any other institutions we have obligations to
  • Support the development of a new financial dashboard
  • Follow-up on customers and suppliers (in an international context)
  • Support the management of bank accounts and payment instructions
  • Record provisions and perform reconciliations
  • Support the general accounting and make sure deadlines are met
  • Support the monthly and annual closure
    • Requirements
  • Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of two years commercial experience as financial control in a large or multinational organisation
  • Strong analytical experience
  • Strong communication skills, including confidence speaking and writing in English
  • Strong Excel and database skills
  • Very good organisation skills, autonomous working, logical and systematic thinking
  • Works well as part of a team in a high-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to accurately perform tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to work with remote teams
  • Prior experience in Financial Services or Fintech is a bonus
