This role will Lead, plan and implement a state-of-the-art global employer communications strategy that drives long term employer brand growth from attraction through to retention. Particular focus is required on emending employee centric thinking and strategic communications planning across the organization collaborating closely across the business ensuring communications inspire, inform and play their part in supporting our vision.


Once here you will


  • Develop and drive the implementation of the overall communications strategy in line with the company goals worldwide across all available communications channels.
  • Drive the desire in making N26 the only bank where people want to work through inspiring, engaging and disruptive communications, challenging perceptions and building employee brand awareness to attract the best talent in existing and new markets.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of the overall Integrated Communications plan and support the Director of Communications, E-Brand and Talent Attraction in ensuring it is aligned across the business and tailored to the key markets as defined by the business.
  • Inform creative briefs to ensure they are built on a foundation of audience led insight so they inform the direction of communications and campaigns, collaborating closely with the brand creative lead.
  • Oversee brand management activities of all communications ensuring consistency with brand guidelines working closely with the marketing teams to ensure consistent communications and messaging.
  • Develop a set of tools and frameworks to consistently execute communications across all available channels from style guides to templates.
  • Continuously develop audience insights and apply to our communications approach, campaigns and content. Sharing the insights across wider team to inform future initiatives.
  • Develop robust KPIs and scorecards for measuring performance providing visibility into campaign results and measure campaign effectiveness
  • Bring the outside in and develop new thinking and recommendations to optimise employer brand equity and value.
  • Oversee the central communications budget, providing investment recommendations throughout the year for global or local communications with any adjustments, based on analysis of performance across communications channels, partnering with finance to ensure accurate monthly accruals, identifying over/underspends and reinvesting/pulling back investments as required.
  • Generate engagement across all areas of the business to ensure the communications strategy is understood and maintained.
  • Encourage a learn by doing ethos across the team and continually identify where new capabilities are required to keep abreast with changes in technology to bring a knowledge-led skill set to the team.
  • Lead, manage, motivate and mentor the team to your own high standards, bringing a passion for, and relentless focus on, advancing the team’s technical and leadership skills.

What you will bring along


  • You will have built and led best-in-class teams and managed teams across the communications mix and have a deep appreciation for best practices. You are a generalist with experience across communications strategy, brand, PR, partnerships, content, community and performance and understands how to manage communications budget at scale and be familiar with the channel mix requirements.
  • Track record in building brands, on- and offline, in multiple markets. You will be unafraid to push the boundaries with innovative initiatives.
  • Will have a profound understanding of audience needs and profiles, and how to engage them at all stages in their journey. Will understand how to acquire, analyse and act upon sophisticated user intelligence, including deep familiarity with the relevant supporting technologies.
  • You will be a strong, inspiring leader and communicator. Will have a proven track record in attracting, managing and developing outstanding talent and highly effective at cross-functional stakeholder management.
  • A strategic mind-set, with exceptional clarity of thought. You adopt a hands-on approach, and be close to the detail, as needed.
  • A deep sense of logic, ambition, organisational and analytical skills, with a head for figures and great instincts. A structured thinker and communicator. Will be highly data-driven and ROI-focused. Will have strong commercial acumen.
  • Proven multi-country experience, particularly within emerging markets. Solid knowledge of differing audience behaviours and success in these across geographies. Will have experience in running multicultural and internationally dispersed teams.
