Responsibilities

 
We're looking for a Legal Counsel based in Rome to work on our dynamic Legal & Compliance What you'll do: 

- Advice and draft public sector and commercial contracts and other documents, acts or agreements; advice on public tender procedures, public sector agreements execution, and public sector litigation matters; advice on compliance, privacy, intellectual property and any commercial matter as necessary; 

- Identify risks, and define strategy to mitigate them, strategize with internal partners' creative win-win solutions or appropriate legal action to be taken;

- Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of consulting services, system integrator, outsourcing and technology contracts and subcontracts and licensing agreement with public sector and private customers and suppliers as necessary;

- Collaborate with other members of the team or other NTT DATA functions to drive compliance with internal policies, processes and approvals,

- Stay abreast of legal developments in Italy, the EU and globally, affecting the company and implement them into company practices;

- Develop internal guidelines, toolkit and templates on legal matters and contracts;

- Assist on developing training materials and provide training to business on legal topic and best practices;

Required Skills

 
What we're looking for: 

- Experience in consulting, systems, integration, digital services and outsourcing, licensing, preferably in a fast-paced corporate legal/transaction group for an IT services and/or similar business; 

- Strong knowledge of public sector contracts, law and procedures, IT services and licensing agreements standards, commercial law, and compliance;

- Experience in understanding and addressing multi-jurisdictional legal and commercial issues, principles related to finance, intercompany operations;

- Excellent legal and business drafting, communication, negotiation and influencing skills - in Italian and in English;

- Positive and proactive attitude, open minded, self-motivated and a team player; approachable with strong ethic; ability to work autonomously and deliver creative solutions under time pressure;

- Must be comfortable engaging with senior management with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships;

- Admitted to practice law in Italy;

- Minimum 3 years of in house experience in the ITC/technology sector;
