Job Description

The Associate Media Director oversees the team's strategic online and offline video investment initiatives and will focus on servicing a high profile client in the credit/financial space in the creation, execution and monitoring of video plans and buys to secure the best investment options in a variety of offline and online video mediums  to maximize clients’ reach to targeted consumers.  The ideal candidate for this position will be passionate leader and innovative thinking who loves data and has the proven ability to lead strategic planning and buying initiatives including deck writing, budget and channel allocation and audience development. 

Must haves include 6+ years of  in-depth broadcast and/or digital video investment/activation experience, experience with data driven TV – addressable TV, programmatic TV, connected TV, etc. and Strong power point skills – a great visual story teller who can deliver “client ready” work.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

•       A cross channel holistic thinker who brings deep expertise in the video space, but is also able to think more macro/broadly in terms of how video connects to Visa’s larger media ecosystem

•       Is curious and interested in what the future of broadcast looks like and how brands can take a more data driven approach – experience working with addressable TV, programmatic TV and connect TV a major plus

•       Passionate about measurement and exploring new ways to capture the effectiveness of broadcast media, working with new measurement partners and pioneering new approaches / studies

•       Ability to translate a strategic target into a buying audience, evaluate different buying audiences, advise on optimal media weight levels, advise on optimal flighting scenarios, offer expertise on video measurement solutions, etc.

•       A deep understanding of the broadcast activation landscape – how it works, who the big media partners are, industry trends, etc.

•       Extensive experience negotiating with video media partners, focused on locking in the best rates, positioning and added value for Visa (experience with the broadcast Upfront is a plus)

•       Sports Sponsorship media experience a major plus – experience leading Video planning and buying working in partnership with major sports media partners (e.g. NFL - Fox, Olympics - NBC, FIFA - Fox, etc.)

•       Ability to take smart strategy work and translate that into brilliant execution – ability to work well with strategists and be a true partner / not work in silos

•       Strong written communication skills – a power point “maverick” who is a great visual story teller, can create “client ready” decks without in-depth oversight from a manager

•       Strong verbal communication skills – ability to clearly explain how plans were developed, why certain decision were made and how the plans will be executed

•       Portfolio management of paid media for a large brand (over $50MM annual media budgets) ideal

 

 

Qualifications

-6+ years of media experience, with a focus on investment / activation across the Video media ecosystem, inclusive of both Television and Online Video

-Bachelor's Degree

-3+ years of management experience, ideally leading teams of 2-3 or more
