The Job

SumUp is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst Intern to help us implement a data-driven culture at SumUp. The Intern will partner with analysts and internal clients to turn vast amount of data from all our internal areas into meaningful insights that will turn into actionable outcomes. The candidate is a fast learner with a data-oriented mindset, who loves data but also has a passion for using information to change a certain course of action. Moreover, the ability to influence, connect the business strategy to real actions, make effective decisions in a fast-paced, startup environment are paramount to thrive in this role.


Responsibilities

  • You will work in close collaboration with business stakeholders, leverage our data to produce insights, and contribute in reaching and out-beating business objectives (e.g. growth)
  • You will conceive and implement polished reports through data-visualisation tools to ensure business teams can take data-driven operational decisions
  • You will contribute to further grow our ‘self-BI’ capabilities (e.g. Data Cubes)
  • You will evangelize the whole organization regarding the use of our data tools through trainings and interviews
  • Requirements

  • You are pursuing your University Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or Engineering
  • You are fluent in English - you'll be part of a truly global company!

    Our SumUp office in São Paulo is currently hiring for the position(s) of Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.

    The Job

    We are looking for experienced and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineers with passion for quality. You will work in a dynamic and professional environment and will have the chance to contribute to various applications that make our product unique.


    TASKS

  • Work in IT department of professionals situated in 3 different locations across the globe.
  • Perform acceptance, functional, regression and exploratory testing on the SumUp platform. Take care of manual, automation tests and investigate production issues.
  • Be part of feature-focused agile team where the full cycle of development process is accomplished, from planning and development to release and verification on the production environment, focusing strongly and performance, security and reliability.
  • Read remote system logs and investigate data stored in the database(s).
  • Commit to a proactive approach within the team. Communicate and collaborate with colleagues within and outside of the Software Department to deliver best value.
  • Create test plans, test documentation and manuals.
  • Focus on automation of manual tasks, speeding up the daily/weekly tasks of the QA team.
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a professional software development environment.
  • Strong technical orientation.
  • Attention to detail, passion for quality and its improvement.
  • Experience with automation of manual tests is a must.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Experience with payments systems is a plus.
  • Experience with high availability systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and card payments would be an advantage.

    Our SumUp office in São Paulo is currently hiring for the position of Product Owner.


    As part of SumUp, you will develop state of the art payment terminals and terminal peripherals by working closely with our hardware/software/Industrial design team, marketing, and manufacturing partners, to envision, beautifully design, and certify for payment and security specifications. In addition, you will contribute to the unique SumUp culture which comprises a group of people that share the same vision.

    What you’ll be doing in this job

  • Define overall strategy, product roadmap and technical/feature specifications for new products based on long-term product vision, market needs and technical trends.
  • Manage the product execution working closely with Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design and key stakeholders to engineer the best experience for our merchants.
  • Evaluate design and production decisions as part of the product development lifecycle.
  • Accountability and execution of business models to achieve meaningful commercial success.
  • Own and manage product life cycle from inception through execution and mass production.
  • Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of Product Management or similar experience
  • Experience building and scaling B2B or B2C products
  • Technical, analytical and cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or direct experience in business operations experience
  • Experience with cross-functional teams including Hardware, Software, Industrial Design, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Support and Legal
  • Willingness to travel

    What you’ll be doing in this job

  • You'll work and define the positioning, messaging and competitive differentiation of SumUp’s products
  • You will own and execute product launches in more than 25 markets, incl. Positioning, pricing and promotion strategies (hardware and software) in close collaboration with various stakeholders throughout the company
  • You'll work closely with Product Owners, Engineering, Retail Marketing, Hardware, Online Marketing, Brand Marketing and Content Marketing teams

  • You have proven experience in Product Marketing with 2+ years in a global tech or FMC company

  • You have a Hands-on mentality
  • You are able to adapt within a fast-paced environment, dealing with ambiguity and prioritizing your deliveries according to the business needs

    The IT Support team ensures that all SumUpers have the right tools and network structure to excel in their jobs. With a positive attitude and efficient problem solving skills, they are always in touch with the internal users, answering their queries and providing them with the necessary hardware and software accesses. SumUp is growing (we are over 260 employees in Berlin and counting!), so must IT Support to ensure our operational excellence.

    What you’ll be doing in this job

    - You'll ensure that all Berlin employees have access to the necessary work tools (laptop, monitors, keyboards, etc.) on time. You will control our hardware stock, check the needs and place orders when needed

    - You'll setup the laptops for new starters (MAC and Windows)

    - You'll be support the creation of user accounts and user accesses to different systems (G-suite, Salesforce, SOAP, and others)

    - You'll deal with user queries and support them with administrative and technical questions, counting with the support of our specialists.

    Your profile

    - You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters program, preferably in the technology field or previous experience in a similar role

    - You are energetic, have excellent communication skills and are customer oriented

    - You are able to organise and prioritize tasks, solving problems in an efficient way

    - You are available to work 20 hours per week

    - You are fluent in English - you'll be part of a truly global company! Fluency in German will be considered a plus.
