This position is geared towards selling to ISV’s to partner with SumUp through our seamless integration library.

The job

Becoming a member of the US Team in our U.S. headquarters in Boulder, CO means joining a group of highly motivated individuals whom you will collaborate with to bolster our strategic merchant base in U.S. This unique position offers personal and professional development, community-building, and an in-depth view into the payment industry. By assisting U.S. business development team by adding new integrated partner relationships, you'll be exposed to multiple teams at SumUp, such as Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product. The role will directly report to our U.S. Managing Director, but will also work closely with our entire US staff and sales support team in Berlin.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, market, sell, train, and onboard new integrated software vendors (ISV's)
  • Work alongside our ISV Integration Specialists to on-board and train new ISV relationships
  • As we grow in the US, this role will also act as the relationship manager for U.S. ISV relationships to maximize revenue potential
  • Engage with partners and key accounts in the U.S. to solve ongoing challenges and identify growth opportunities
  • Provide management key sales reporting & metrics within SalesForce
  • Spearhead efforts to contact key merchants to drive retention and new referrals

Requirements

  • Must have completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or MBA in relevant field (communications, business, marketing, management, etc.).
  • This is an important sales job! To be successful, you will need at least 3 years of relevant sales experience working with (or for) ISV's, and must possess a deep rolodex of potential ISV partners. Additionally, confidence to “cold call” prospects with manicured phone “bed side manners” are crucial traits.
  • You must be highly motivated and seeking a career in Sales and Business Development.
  • Business acumen and customer sensibilities - you need the temperament and confidence to communicate with C-level executives effectively.
  • Senior personality - you must be able work independently and collaborate/coordinate across teams.
  • Experience working in a dynamic and collaborative work environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
