A bit about the job
You will be responsible for assuring data quality in our financials. This means identifying requirements, designing controls and processes, implementing, improving and maintaining the tooling of our finance data quality. You will work with a data quality assurance team within the Finance Product team. You will be making enormous impact on TransferWise sustainability and proactive reduction of the risks.
A bit about you
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Experience with designing and implementing financial controls, working with auditors
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work with software engineering teams to build data quality control systems
- Self-sufficient with data analytics - you are hands on with financial data, SQL and databases
- You are ready to travel and spend time in London, UK and in Tallinn, Estonia

Bonus Points
- experience in finance/accounting - you know basic accounting and financial terminology
- technical background - you can have a dialog with an engineer or other product managers in the “same language”
- having knowledge / experience with COSO, SOX, CIA, ITIL
- MBA, Masters in Finance and Economics, or equivalent is a plus
