Senior Full Stack Developer - KYC (Know Your Customer) / Verification

What you’ll be working on? 

As an KYC / Verification Software Engineer you will have solid experience with the back end technologies and full stack solutions. As part of the KYC/verification team you'll be changing the world of finance to be more convenient, fast and secure for the customers. Removing the hurdles of verification while learning to know our customers is what you'll be working towards. 

Tech Must haves

• Experience in building backend systems, preferably using Java 8
• Built something with an MVC Framework
• Comfortable with HTML, CSS and varioud JavaScript farmeworks
• Experience working with relational databases, writing custom queries and designing schemas
• Understanding of test driven development (TDD), and the desire to write tests.

Mindset

• Passionate about technology, product and user experience
• Ability to work independently and plan your own solutions to problems
• You put the customer at the heart of everything you do and that empathy drives every decision you make
• Are willing to travel, to work and learn with dev teams in Tallinn, London, US, etc.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with financial systems, compliance, risk, fraud, or Anti Money Laundering, KYC
• Experience and/or understanding of Machine Learning Practices
• Experience with PostgreSQL, advanced types and query features
• Knowledge of event driven architecture, REST microservices, Spring Boot, Groovy, Hibernate and/or Lombok
• Experience with messaging services (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS etc)
• You feel strongly about fighting criminals and you are a TransferWise customer
