As User Experience Developer, you will proactively contribute to the improvement of customer experience on Vans websites in EMEA. We are looking for a skilled programmer as well as a creative designer and on top of the latest industry and cultural trends.

Your ultimate goal is enhancing the User Experience of the brand websites, increasing Conversion Rate and supporting achievements of E-Commerce business targets.

What will you do?

  • Work in collaboration with the Senior E-Commerce User Experience Manager and the UX Team to ensure the definition and the execution of a UX strategy for the EMEA websites of Vans.
  • Ideate wireframes and sketch designs of new E-Commerce functionalities or content pages.
  • Build prototypes of creative design concepts.
  • Translate a design idea to all possible devices (mobile, desktop and tablet).
  • Do continuous benchmarking and research looking at big digital players, best in class or industry leaders in E-Commerce.
  • Contribute to idea generation to feed the UX enhancements plan.
  • Support the execution of the AB testing roadmap.
  • Communicate effectively UX updates to the E-Commerce team.
  • Act as a reference point in the brand for third party agencies working on UX.
  • Act as a reference point in the E-Commerce Customer Experience team for development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AEM, Google Tag Manager) and sync up with internal stakeholders in case of new requests or issues impacting these areas.
  • Improve site performances and pages loading through code optimization.
  • Take care of day by day minor tasks such as content updates publishing, small bugs fixing, monitoring site performance during testing, QA activities in case of platform releases, etc.
  • Stay on top of the latest in website software application upgrades.
  • Closely follow design trends and developments in technology (especially Mobile) and integrate them into our environment and practices.
  • When possible, implement in-house AB testing.
  • What you need to succeed?

  • 1-3 year preferably in a structured, process-driven environment, digital agency or similar industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferably User Experience, Front End development, information architecture, computer graphics - or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mobile First thinking.
  • Deep knowledge of: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AEM, Google Tag Manager.
  • Familiarity with E-Commerce platforms (IBM WebSphere Commerce knowledge is a plus).
  • Knowledge of Monetate AB testing tool, Project tracking software (JIRA) is a plus.

    GENERAL SUMMARY

    The Senior Online Trading Merchandiser is responsible for defining and executing E-commerce trading and merchandising strategies, campaigns, tools and activities across Kipling EMEA website. This role requires a proven track record in leading and executing the analysis of product performance, promotional activities and monitoring core KPI’s for digital merchandising tools, to feed into future buying, planning, marketing and promotional activities. The objectives of the role are to leverage analytical insights to drive conversion / sales and deliver the ultimate online consumer shopping experience.

    PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    * Work closely with Manager, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing and B&M teams to drive product strategy across Kipling EMEA websites.

    * Collaborate with the DTC team to manage seasonal merchandising plans/open-to-buy, sharing insights and product performance analysis.

    * Deliver weekly reporting and in-depth analysis on core merchandising KPI’s including product & category performance, promotional activities, on-site search and retail messaging.

    * Lead promotional and sales planning by analyzing activities, including long term impact on core KPI’s (UPT, Return Rates, AOV etc).

    * Oversee the E-commerce Trading Calendar, tracking and planning all online activity

    * Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to develop the online brand experience, aligning Global & Regional marketing campaigns, Product strategy and promotional activity

    * Lead the development of the online product catalogue, gathering relevant information from B&M, Global Product and Marketing teams

    * Define and execute strategy for online visual merchandising to drive conversion, sell through and brand identity.

    * Gain product knowledge by attending product sessions and sales meetings, actively updating and learning from brand workbooks and key stakeholders.

    * Take active part in site developments and projects covering the definition of business requirements; including benchmarking, validation of wireframes and UAT

    * Foresee online user journey complexities and suggest improvements to ensure smooth shopping experience

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience: at least 4 years experience in an E-commerce or digital environment with a focus on merchandising, coordinating and achieving business results.

    Language Skills:
    * Fluent in English. Additional languages beneficial.

    * Advanced computer skills required.

    * Must have strong analytical and organizational skills, and be detailed oriented.

    * Self motivated, flexible and able to handle workload independently.

    * A good understanding of digital marketing, SEO, CRM and social media is required

    You will be responsible for the disciplined marketplace management of this set of accounts in their operating geographic area. Direct the LTP, identifying and quantifying mid and long terms growth opportunities to make sure resources are appropriately allocated. You are a Team builder, leading, inspiring and coaching a team of 2 Sr Sales Managers and 5 SKAM and indirectly driving the wider virtual cross functional team.
