As an intern with our Indirect Procurement Organization, you will be given the opportunity to support Procurement initiatives that drive company value and fuel our company’s growth strategies. You will get insight into the IT & Digital spend category, gaining significant exposure to VF transformational journey to become a consumer-minded, retail-centric and hyper-digital organization. A hands-on manager will guide you throughout your journey, and you will have access to procurement tools and trainings. You will develop knowledge of the category, while gaining business skills such as negotiations with suppliers, internal stakeholders management, agreement writing and sourcing strategies development. You will also be collaborating with various cross functional groups which will provide you with a broader perspective of our corporate business.

This specific position plays a key role in the IT/Digital spend category and will help managing a relevant spend. The candidate will support several key initiatives within VF Digital Transformation (e.g. eCommerce, Retail Store Technology, Customer Service Digitalization, Analytics) Lead and support different category sourcing projects. Evaluate opportunities by category to ensure that the desired business results are achieved based on best total value (savings, quality, delivery, etc.). Analyze, review and enable sourcing decisions based on sourcing process outcomes/market analysis, and negotiate agreements to ensure that the selection of suppliers meets all of VF’s requirements Manage and track VF contracts with suppliers, liaise between the legal department and suppliers in the agreement process, protect the best interests of VF, and ensure successful and timely contract completion. Help an effective management of day-by-day activities as required.
What you need to succeed?
Years of Related Professional Experience: 0+
Educational/Position Requirements:
MS/BS or MA/BA Degree obtained in the last 12 months maximum (Business Administration, Economics or Supply Chain preferred)
You are at the end of your bachelor- or in your master’s degree.
Skills:
Curious mindset with passion for working with people
Experience with MS Office Applications, including solid Excel knowledge
Analytical and able to draw conclusions and make decisions/solve problems with sometimes limited data
Organized, result oriented with an eye for details
Professional communication skills
Must be proactive with proven ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively manage timelines
Interested in pursuing a career in Procurement
Interest for Digital in the fashion/retail industry is a plus
