Description

We’re looking for a Operations Manager to join and manage the entire Field Services function. This is a dynamic role that manages the three main aspects of Field Services at onefinestay: Scheduling, Meet and Greet and Housekeeping. The ideal candidate will have strong people management skills and an operational mindset.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting a variety of issues to on a daily basis from both a people and operations perspective.
  • People management – you’ll have overall responsibility for both a direct and indirect team during the bustling peak periods. This will require you to be people centric and able to coach and mentor your team to deliver the best possible result.
  • A key aspect of this role will be enhancing the relationships we have with suppliers, whilst managing cost and service levels.
  • Operational management – supported by functional experts, you’ll be accountable for the delivery of your area metrics.
  • Defined P&L responsibility, with the focus on operational costs, utilisation of assets and smart use of resources.
  • As the face of the Field Services team, you’ll successfully plan and lead our seasonal recruitment sessions and enjoy the buzz of working with a large, diverse workforce.
  • Collaborating effectively with managers and teams such as Service, Resolution, New Homes, Guest Sales and Finance.

Skills and experience

  • Both a caring and pragmatic candidate is required as you’ll need to be a team cheerleader in an administrative yet practical aspect.
  • Your strength will be juggling many moving parts of the operation, from a financial understanding to a technical/data awareness.
  • You’ll naturally build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to strive for service excellence at every opportunity.
  • This role requires you to manage day-to-day tasks in addition to taking a view on medium to long term planning. You’ll be both in the detail and have a bird's eye view.
  • You’ll be a natural communicator and enjoy managing upwards and downwards as well as finding creative ways to communicate with your remote workforce.
  • You’re comfortable working under pressure and never fazed by last-minute changes.

Need to know

  • Over the peak season you’ll work the odd weekend and be able to step in when the team need you.
  • Our teams work closely together and it’s vital that you understand the function of each team well as you’ll be the Duty Manager when required.
  • You‘ll be based in our London Operations Hub, situated in Ladbroke Grove most of the time but you’ll also be out in the field supporting the team.
