For our office in Rome or Home based we are currently looking for a Solution Architect (m/f/d).

In today's digital business era, we are challenged to exceed customer expectations faster and better than our competition. This requires the evolution of the company's existing business processes and the modernization of its ERP systems, with the migration from current legacy IT systems to a modern Microsoft Dynamics environment. The transformation of our processes and systems for the international businesses will span a minimum of three years and include multiple regions and countries. A dedicated team is leading this global transformation. To support the design, development and implementation of the MS Dynamics applications and organically grow the support organization, Dedalus is seeking a D365 Solution Architect.

The Dynamics 365 Solution Design Architect would be involved in architecting, designing and deploying new applications built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, related Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud solutions, and related technologies (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, etc.) to meet our business requirements. The Architect would leverage technical expertise to develop the solution design in the context of our existing Dynamics 365 applications, configure and maintain the software applications, and provide technical guidance and leadership through the end-to-end delivery of the Dynamics 365 applications. This role requires the ability to acknowledge opportunities and solve real world business problems.

You are responsible for:

• Overall application architect and design decisions with attention for application development understanding and recognizing the impacts of the solution to other systems;
• Working to map overall design to our business requirements and systems, ensuring solutions align with business goals and processes, and fit within the enterprise context;
• Facilitating discussions with business and technical stakeholders to extract critical business requirements and present a technical vision and solutions in the form of software products, customizations, and integrations to meet those needs within Dynamics 365;
• Strong understanding of when to use of native features in Dynamic 365 and when it is appropriate to use custom development. Ability to successfully communicate this information to both the business areas and IT staff;
• Participating with project teams (e.g., consultant, where appropriate, project manager, BA(s), developer(s), business area(s), etc.) to develop a solution proposal that includes scope, assumptions, implementation plan, and technology solution options to meet project goals as well as longer term needs;
• Providing leadership and continued technical guidance to Dynamics project team members in the development of applications;
• Maintaining knowledge of third party software vendors to leverage complementary offerings and effectively compare and contrast solutions;
• Providing current best practices and solution alternatives as part of functional or technical design documents;
• Communicating complex topics regarding solutions and related projects to audiences both with and without deep technical skills;
• Assisting with identifying impact of upgrades to Dynamics 365 and/or related integration software products on existing applications and in-progress applications in development to address changes needed to be able to implement the upgrades.
• Ensuring that all solutions are lightweight, scalable, completely secure, and built to an appropriate level of quality;
• Assisting and support other programmers in development, techniques and coding assignments;
• Applying industry software development standards and best practices including, but not limited to, unit test automation, code reviews, and maintaining code versions / application solutions in available repositories;
• Researching and recommend new and existing technologies to meet business needs, including creating prototypes, design documents, and solution designs;
• Planning and prioritize activities;
• Reporting activities and progress to the management on a weekly basis;
• Working on multiple projects at the same time.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Applications), Engineering, Math, Science, Technology, or related field
• At least 7 years experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 with strong knowledge of and experience with platform capabilities, out of the box configurations, customizations, and integration with other components;
• Experience with the CE, Sales, Event Management/Marketing, Customer Service modules within Dynamics 365;
• Experience working with Dynamics 365 F&O;
• Experience working with Dynamics 365 PSA or project operations is a plus;
• Experience working with data migration and loading for Dynamics 365;
• Experience in full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with knowledge of Agile and /or Waterfall methodology;
• Knowledge in data warehouse, ETL, data modeling is a plus;
• Experience managing workshops, reviewing business needs, researching potential solutions and providing solid process and technical recommendations.
