Overview:

On a technology solution development programme the solution lead and team of business analysts are responsible for identifying business and product requirements; and designing and documenting the end to end business solution functionality and business processes with the objective to integrate the new solution into First Data’s strategic technology roadmap.

A junior business analyst’s role is to assist business analysts and solution leads in gathering, validating, and documenting business processes and various underlying system information and needs.

Junior BAs map business processes, carry out in-depth evaluations and verifications of the capabilities of systems and help the solutions team to document solution requirements, parameters and configuration items. They work closely with technical solution architects, business and products representatives and operations representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with business and product representatives, IT engineers and business analysts to document business processes.

• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements and documents it for the IT organization in pre-defined set of documents.

• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision, facilitates the communication with strong focus on delivering the results within agreed timeline.

• Clarify requirements, critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding.

• Creates and updates platform functional (not technical) documentation.

• Create and develop functional requirements of systems to improve quality, performances, external interfaces, and constraints.

• Outline requirement specifications with the use of standard templates for both use cases and detailed software.

• Manage requirements traceability information and record requirements status in the course of the project.

• Monitor changes to baseline requirements with the use of effective application of change control processes and tools.

• Make contributions in the development of Test Plans and Test Scripts, and also perform test execution as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)

• Ability to learn quickly

• Excellent Analytical skills

• Excellent communication skills (both: verbal and written), and ability to explain complex concepts

• Fluent English (both: verbal and written) is must! German language is advantage

• Fully proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Previous experience on similar position is an advantage

• Understanding of agile and waterfall software development methodologies is an advantage

• No need to have technical / SW development skills
