About the Role

We are looking for a software engineer to join the team that powers the Houzz Product Marketplace. As a Software Engineer, eCommerce, you will be working on payment, pricing, fraud, and inventory management. You will take business concepts and ideas and transform them to live products and workflows, used by millions of homeowners and sellers worldwide. From optimizing customer checkout flows to building scalable payment solutions and managing millions of products – we are looking for engineers who will work on challenging problems of scale. Your work will cater to both consumers and sellers.

What You'll Do

Architect efficient and reusable front-end components used by all teams

Work closely with product designers and product managers to put final projects together

Implement new features and UI components that powers the Houzz Product Marketplace

Implement and drive AB tests to improve revenues, margins and other metrics

Improve both consumer-side and seller-side experience on our online shopping platform

Build tools to help our internal admins to better manage products, promotions, and vendors on our platform throughout the world, and also to improve efficiencies for customer service and pre/post sales teams

At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have

Proficiency in web application programming (OOP, LAMP)

Substantial experience developing real-world web applications using HTML, CSS, JS

B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent

Ideally, You'll Also Have

3+ years experience

Prior experience with ecommerce platforms preferred (e.g. checkout/payments UI, product navigation, etc.)
