We're looking for an experienced, creative and committed writer to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to produce home design stories that inform, engage and entertain. Do you have excellent writing and interviewing abilities and an understanding of sponsored content? If the answer is yes, then Houzz might just be your next home.

What You’ll Do

Brainstorm, pitch and write well-researched sponsored stories featuring home design ideas and the professionals and brands behind them

Conduct interviews with industry professionals

Work with Houzz editor to ensure content meets Houzz standards

At a Minimum, We’d Like You To Have…

Degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications or the equivalent

2-3+ years of experience writing home design or home improvement content

A passion for home design and an appreciation for the pros and brands who make it happen

Exceptional attention to grammar and logical story construction

Very strong attention to detail

Familiarity with digital media and its technical aspects

A roll-up-your-sleeves, get-it-done attitude and friendly, outgoing personality
