Debtwire, a leading global intelligence provider on leveraged finance and restructuring, is looking for a reporter in Hong Kong to cover Asian Loans.

We do much more than jotting down key data points: to succeed in this role, you will need to get ahead of mandates, gather colour from a wide range of sources on specific deals, dig into a borrower’s background, and follow up on how loans trade in secondary markets. This role provides an opportunity to obtain and/or display expertise in a specialized, dynamic part of Asia’s capital markets, including by staying close to the participants and delving into the underlying factors that drive activity, from macro-economics, to government policy, to the people behind the deals.

While we rate credit and other financial journalism experience highly, we believe that competencies like eagerness, diligence, assertiveness and lucidity are essentials to succeed in this role.

This is an Asia coverage role, so travel is required, and proficiency in an Asian language will be an advantage. We are committed to training our staff to fulfill their potential.
