Freelance Photographer - New York

Appear Here is looking for experienced freelance photographers across New York to provide fantastic images of retail spaces, pop-up shops, and events. This is a great opportunity to help reshape the face of retail while building a portfolio of interior, editorial, and portrait photography. We need coverage all over New York, although we can't guarantee work in any location.

Interior photographers

• Have a portfolio demonstrating excellent interior work
• Have own camera equipment including tripod, and ultra wide angle lens of 18mm or wider on full frame / 12mm or wider on crop sensor
• Flexible schedule

A little about the shoot:

Each shoot usually take 20-30mins depending on the size of the retail space, we expect at least 13 images including 3-4 exteriors. You’ll need to apply a vinyl to the shop window, send over the RAW files, and lightly edited JPEGs, and a short space survey on the same day.-----------------

Editorial Photographers

Candidates for the position of Editorial Photographer must meet the following requirements to be considered:

• Full frame camera, photographers will be required to send RAW files which will be edited in house
• Ability to execute on a brief and deliver specific shots in a short timeframe
• Portfolios demonstrating experience in both editorial, and portrait photography

A little about the shoot:

Editorial shoots take roughly 45mins - 1hr. Appear Here has a fast growing community of 50,000+ brands, and makers who are showcased in our online, and print editorial. Depending on the brand editorial photographers are required to shoot a combination of portraits, interiors, candid moments, products and branding. Event Photographers

Candidates for the position of Event Photographer must meet the following requirements to be considered:

• Portfolio demonstrating experience and excellence in a range of event photography
• Ability to execute on a specific brief and deliver shots in a very short time frame immediately after the event
• Calm demeanor and ability to execute under pressure

A little about the shoot:

Event shoots take roughly 3 hours. We host regular panel discussions (The Underground Sessions) for our community of brands and landlords. Photographers will be provided with a specific shot list for each event including images of the venue, speaker panel, audience, catering and goodie bags.

Requirements

A relevant portfolio or work related to the Interior, Editorial, or Event photography. Candidates must have a relevant portfolio of work in order to be considered for this role.
