Description

Applause is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer for our Platform Delivery team. Our team is the curator of the build/bake/deploy/monitor/alert pipeline. We are enablers, not necessarily owners of technology. The goal is to allow development achieve a new rate of throughput while providing safety measures to prevent accidents.

Duties

Use Terraform to manage our AWS presence
Develop Company specific (where applicable) Chef components (cookbooks, data bags, environments, etc.)
Manage infrastructure services (Nexus, Sonar, Jenkins, etc)
Develop Jenkins DSL/Pipeline jobs
Help secure Mesosphere based environment
Help educate best practices for the above

Skills

First tier:

Chef (server, cookbook creation, OSS cookbook configuration, knife, berkshelf, etc)
AWS (VPC configuration, general AWS service offering awareness, etc)

Second tier:

Docker/microservice environment (compose, packer, etc)
Mesosphere (mesos, zookeeper, marathon, etc)

Third tier:

Jenkins (DSL/Pipeline plugins)
Maven
Java
Nexus
Git/Github

Compentencies:

Role will report to Sr. Director of Platform Delivery while working closely with our architecture and development teams.
