How significant that is, is up to you.As the Lead Frontend Engineer you:● Grow the technical expertise of your chapter in performance, scalability and maintainable architecture● Facilitate and encourage collaboration among the members of your chapter, who build a number of consumer-facing web applications deployed across 8 countries● Live and breathe functional code● See writing automated tests as a benefit, not as a burdening task● Care about your craft, are up to date with new technologies and keen to use them when appropriate● Work with your chapter to shape and define the best standards and practices● Support your chapter members in respecting these defined standards and practices● Work closely with the recruitment team to hire and onboard the best engineers out there● Have the opportunity to represent home24 at meetups and conferencesYour strengths and experience:● Minimum of 5 years of experience in the software development● At least 2 years of experience delivering distributed systems at scale● Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds● Production level experience writing REST services● Production level experience with NodeJS● Experience in providing technical direction and architectural vision for the development of novel software technologies and leading the teams through the full life-cycle of the software development● Experience with Webpack● Experience with the React.js ecosystem● Working knowledge of JavaScript testing● Understanding of the web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3● Understanding of the browser rendering behavior and performance Your challenges will be:● You must have a strong opinion when it comes to compromising quality for speed.● You should be comfortable serving as the most-senior front-end developer on a team.● You must work effectively with product managers, designers, backend engineers and technical leads from other teams.What we can offer you:● Opportunity to use state of the art front-end development tools.● Become a part of a highly motivated team of technology professionals.● An open culture to learn, share new ideas, solve hard problems and opportunity to demonstrate your creativity to make a real difference.● Opportunities for advancement, independence and the autonomy to take on responsibility.● Benefits including relocation support, employee discount, team events, free fruit, drinks and much more.If you are interested in being a part of an exciting success story, get in touch.
