Frontend Platform Engineer - Frontend Platform (m/f/d) 

We are looking for a Frontend Platform Engineer to join the Frontend Platform team. The Frontend Platform team have a critical team mission to create and continuously improve the home24 frontend platform. The team focuses on providing a performant, secure and reliable web ecosystem for all of our users through the creation and support of developer tools, systems and frameworks. The team’s primary goal is to make home24's web engineers productive and its web applications state of the art and high quality. The Frontend Platform is the engine for providing all content to all screen sizes, desktop, tablet and mobile.

As a Frontend Platform Engineer you will predominantly be writing JavaScript, HTML and CSS but you’ll also get the chance pair programme in other languages and stacks .e.g Golang and Python. We don't expect you to be an expert in all languages and systems, but we do expect you to be curious or have an interest.

This position is full-time and based in our cool office in Berlin. 

Your Responsibilities

• Build tooling, frameworks and infrastructure to enable web engineers to safely and confidently move fast at scale
• Supporting teams with emergency topics and tasks
• Working with design and UX teams to build and standardise shared design assets
• Standardising frontend processes and tooling with analytics, A/B testing, feature flagging, SEO, AMP and l18n & l10n.

Your Profile

• Ability to write easy-to-understand, testable, reusable code
• Working experience with React.js and Node.js
• Working experience with testing JavaScript and applications in general
• Experience in deployment automation and continuous delivery is a plus
• Working experience with AWS and serverless architectures is a big plus
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or appropriate work experience
