We are setting up a Technology Center of Excellence in Barcelona to provide research, guidance, training, and deliver products and services in an agile fast-paced environment. Our main focus is on the following areas: Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning, Deep Learning) and Distributed Ledger technologies. 

We envision a real estate industry where accurate and more transparent data leads to better and faster deals for everyone. We gather critical information that is hard to access and make it instantly and seamlessly available to our platform users.

As a Data Engineer, you will design and implement innovative analytical solutions and work alongside the development team, evaluating new features and architectures. You will collaborate to extend our Big Data platform to provide a high-performance scalable infrastructure.

{WHAT YOU WILL DO / RESPONSIBILITIES}

• Extension and continuous improvement of the architecture and implementation of our Business Intelligence and Analytics platform.
  
• Design and implement innovative analytical solutions using Hadoop, NoSQL, and other Big Data related technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting improvements to all aspects of the product development.
• Learn, train and develop yourself. Learn continuously and adapt continuously.

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related subject.
  
• 1+ years designing and implementing large-scale Big Data systems. Experience in architecture and implementation of highly complex Big Data projects.
  
• Experience with Big Data Analytic frameworks and streaming data tools such as: Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Storm, Hive.
  
• Strong engineering background including profound knowledge in several programming languages (E.g. Java, Scala, Python)
  
• Experience with relational databases (E.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (E.g. MongoDB, CouchDB, Cassandra)
• Experience with ETL, Reporting or BI tools.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
  
• A great sense of humor, teamwork skills, and the ability to collaborate with co-workers.
  
• Fluency in English

Iñaki Merino – The Chief Technology Officer
With an extensive background in web digital platforms, data analytics, mission-critical systems, cloud infrastructure, and architecture and software design, Iñaki managed the development of several online banking platforms. After leading the IT management of the retail and analytical systems in the Spanish postal service, he started his journey into the startup ecosystem co-founding a crowdfunding company and leading the development of the platform. 

Daniel Sprünker – The Product Owner
Early on and especially during his master’s at Maastricht University Daniel focused on innovation management and gained his first experience in the Berlin startup eco-system. Before he started at Rheingau Founders as Entrepreneur in Residence, Daniel lead teams at various startups (also at Rocket Internet) at the intersection of product and operations. Hereby, he was involved and gained in-depth experience in scaling teams and technology close to the market’s and customers’ needs.

 Dr. Titus Albrecht MRICS – The Real Estate Expert
After two real estate focused studies in Mannheim (Diplom) and Berlin (Master) Titus began his career at ECE in Berlin. Hereby, he gained first experience in the project development market. Later at Ernst and Young Real Estate he concentrated on real estate valuation, transaction management and on restructuring of real estate funds. The last two and a half years Titus managed the portfolio of three real estate funds and a fund of funds at Union Investment Institutional. 

Stephan Nusche - The Portfolio Expert

After two real estate studies in Berlin (Diploma and Master) Stefan started his career at EY Real Estate in Berlin. In around 8 years he focused on portfolio transactions, evaluations and strategy consulting for investors, banks and non-estate corporates. Before Stefan joined realxdata he was 3 years on the investment side (family office / investment house) as a Senior Transaction Manager for the Buying responsible.
