Role Scenario 


Shazam is seeking a rock star Ad Ops Executive to help boost our UK-based Ad Ops team and provide world-class support to our International Sales team and Advertising Partners. If you're passionate about mobile advertising and obsessed with delivering flawless client services, then come and talk to us. This is a hands-on role and you’ll be responsible for directly managing high profile in-app display initiatives in the EMEA region as well as ensuring that all your campaigns are successfully executed and exceed our client’s expectations. In addition to internal campaign management and sales support you will also be tasked with technical and client services support for Shazam’s network of European reseller partners.


This opportunity will suit a motivated self-starter who is keen to take on significant responsibility within a mobile-first organisation, during a time of rapid evolution where you will be able to see the immediate impact of your efforts. He or she should be able to communicate at all levels of the business, as well as being fluent in the terminology of advertisers, project managers and developers. Due to the dynamic nature of the business; self-motivation, independence and the ability to learn quickly are essential.


Where Does The Role Sit? 


Based in London this role will report to the Senior Ad Ops Manager and will assume day-to-day responsibility for EMEA ad operations and be ultimately responsible for the successful execution of deals sold by the International Sales Team. The role will work closely with the regional European Sales Teams and Client Services forming an important part of the global team; collaborating closely with the Ad Ops team in the US as well as a diverse range of internal stakeholders including Programmatic Sales, Product, Engineering and Finance. 


What Will You Do?


  • Collaborating with Sales, Client Services and Creative teams to provide best in class service to our Customers and drive repeat business.
  • Executing on mobile advertising campaigns running on the Shazam app and website as well as management of retargeting and audience-targeted campaigns utilizing 3rd party inventory.
  • Provide operational support for Shazam’s EMEA reselling Partners, including but not limited to technical support, training, advice and guidance, quality assurance of campaigns booked against Shazam’s inventory and helping to facilitate consistent campaign execution across a diverse range of clients and integrations.
  • Help to identify, deploy and manage the systems, tools and processes required to support an aggressive scaling of our sales volume in the EMEA region.
  • Proactive inventory management and yield analysis to ensure effective monetization and optimal utilization across platforms.
  • Technical troubleshooting of complex mobile rich media campaigns; testing and QA of creative and tags, confirming accurate tracking and ensuring accurate delivery across a number of distinct ad-serving platforms.
  • Analysis of campaign delivery and performance reports to ensure full revenue recognition as well as successful attainment of client and campaign objectives.
  • Liaise with Product, Engineering and QA teams as necessary for the successful development and testing of ad-related products.
  • Ensure all ad ops processes, documentation and training are all kept up to date as required by a rapidly evolving sales organization.

 Experience: Required


  • Experience in an ad operations or related role.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Hands-on end-to-end campaign management; trafficking, reporting, optimisation.
  • Firm grasp of both first- and third-party ad-serving systems, troubleshooting techniques, inventory management, discrepancy resolution, and so on.
  • Experience working with and troubleshooting advanced rich media, including video, native and mobile-specific formats.
  • Ability to innovate and think critically to look for and drive improvements on processes and tools.
  • High level of proficiency with Excel.

Experience: Advantageous


  • Mobile-first ad ops experience, ideally in-app although mobile web also a plus.
  • Experience supporting cross-regional international teams.
  • Publisher-side ad-server experience, ideally DFP.
  • Familiarity with programmatic advertising platforms and technologies.
  • Experience with Facebook Power Editor for management of custom audience-targeted campaigns.
  • Experience with Google suite of products, especially Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
