Tax and Accounts Payable Specialist

Supermercato24 is looking for an experienced Tax & Accounts Payable Specialist to properly support all functions associated with the accounts payable process with key focus on ensuring the accurate posting of vendor invoices and related VAT and Tax activities.  The role will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager and will be part of our Finance team in Verona.

What you will do

• Ensure order cycle management, invoices and payments approvals
  
• Support inter-company reconciliations
  
• Responsible for asset accounting
  
• Execute accruals/prepayments and check correct expenses allocation
  
• Manage ordinary tax activities (i.e. VAT returns, Intrastat and all other reporting requirements)
  
• Liaise with controlling department in supporting reporting activities and budget/forecast
  
• Monitor and analyse expenses and guarantee an effective internal control
  
• Support the finance manager in monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedure

• Accounting university degree
• Experience of FMCG business with a very high number of daily transactions
  
• Relevant experience in finance departments in highly structured and complex environments (at least 2 years)
  
• Demonstrated ability to withstand year end audits
  
• Solid knowledge of local GAAP, tax and other relevant regulations
  
• Proficiently use Excel, Relational Databases and ERP systems
  
• Being a team player
  
• Fluent in Italian
