We are looking for an Engineering Managers to start in our office in Berlin, Germany!

• Manage an agile product team of four full-stack engineers and a product manager
• Make sure team members are engaged and complement each other in achieving common goals autonomously
• Reinforce an MVP mindset, continuous improvements of team ways of working
• Manage dependencies and expectations, building trust with all stakeholders, and delivering on commitments
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to influence product strategy and drive the product development roadmap
• Attract, onboard, develop, and retain diverse top talents to your team and transform the landscape of Babbel language learning apps

• Experience leading and developing cross-functional teams within an international, agile environment
• Passionate about business results and people, not just technical excellence
• Proven experience in direct people management
• User-centric prioritisation and data-informed decision making
• Ability to collaborate with many other teams
• Comfortable giving and receiving actionable, constructive feedback.
• Experienced in creating and managing career development plans for engineers with diverse skillsets

• Experience developing and releasing distributed applications on the cloud (AWS or Google Cloud)
• Deep exposure to scrum and/or other agile methodologies.
• Prior work in startup environments
