We are looking for a Content Strategist (French) for our Wording & Translations Team in Berlin!


This is a 20-30hrs/week maternity leave replacement starting asap until approximately May 2020.


W&T is Babbel’s internal language service provider: an international, interdisciplinary team serving all departments with superior text quality in all Babbel Display Languages. You’ll act as (and contribute in shaping) the voice of the Babbel brand and tonality, helping deliver great stories across multiple off- and online channels. The Babbel Magazine and Blog, Press Releases, CRM newsletters, video scripts and subtitles, Surveys, Marketing campaigns and Social Media posts are just some examples out of the vast variety of assets you’ll get to copy-edit and adapt in order to target a global audience. You’ll be working on proprietary style guides and glossaries, defining specific wording standards for each text-type in cooperation with, besides team members, a lot of other professionals across the company to create, maintain and improve content for all Babbel’s products and channels. All of that while being part of an in-house agency, working on a product that improves the lives of millions of people.


You are:


  • A talented editor and versatile content strategist who relentlessly strives for great copy
  • A creative storyteller with superior communication, writing and editing skills in French (you have to be a native speaker)
  • A language enthusiast and high-level thinker with a penchant for keeping track of details
  • A standout problem solver with marketing chops and a keen understanding of digital strategy
  • Pragmatic, proactive, well organized and highly collaborative
  • Familiar with user experience and interfaces

You have:


  • 2+ years working with content for web and/or mobile experiences
  • A proven record of experience in creative Copywriting, Copy-editing, Translation/Transcreation
  • Experience in Content Strategy
  • The ability to be self-motivated, organized, strategic, proactive, highly collaborative (and fun!)
  • Creative mindset, eagerness to learn & innovate, able to think outside of the proverbial box
