Junior Data Quality Engineer

We are looking for a strong Junior Data Quality Engineer to start immediately in our office in Berlin-Mitte, Germany. In your role, in the Data Engineering team you will ensure the accuracy of our data models and data pipelines and thus help us deliver business-critical information across the departments.

Our data engineering team owns the infrastructure that makes the vast amount of data accessible, reliable and efficient to query, so our teams can make the best data-driven decisions. You will work closely with Analytics, Marketing, Product, Engineering and Finance to ensure they all can collect and action data.

You will

• Transform business requirements to code (SQL, Python)
• Ensure the quality of data pipelines and data models
• Work across several teams: Data Engineering, Analytics, Machine Learning
• Improve your knowledge in AWS services, data quality, data engineering and cloud infrastructure

You have

• Experience with relational databases
• Strong skills in SQL and data modeling
• Knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Python and/or R
• Familiarity with visualisation tools such as Matplotlib and/or Tableau
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of Git workflow
• Comfortable with Jupyter Notebook/Lab

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms, we rely on AWS
• Basic knowledge of data pipelines
• Familiarity with database migration tools such as Alembic or Flyway
