Our System Engineering Team is at the center of IT. We are passionate about automation and infrastructure-as-code. We are looking for a senior engineer with an agile mindset to integrate our great team – is it maybe you?

You build it - you run it and a DevOps mindset are the foundation of our work. System Engineering builds and runs all the common infrastructure, which is used by 15+ product engineering teams to build and run their products.

• You will be working very closely with development teams and ensuring system engineer’s best practices
• On a daily basis you will be using tools like AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus, Spinnaker
• You will use the AWS service portfolio in order to deal with scalability, high availability, security and monitoring strategies
• Sharing knowledge, developing solutions, consulting and building the best CI/CD and deployment system for the teams, thus closing the gap between plain development and system engineering
• You are enabling other teams to take care of the smooth operation of the Bonial platform, which operates in several countries including Germany and France

• AWS (from plain EC2 to Data Pipelines and Lambda)
• HashiCorp toolstack (Terraform, Packer)
• Docker & Kubernetes
• Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana
• Elasticsearch/Kibana
• Go, Ruby, Groovy, Python, Java for the Backend
• Slack (integrating a lot of our tools with it, see ChatOPS)
• VictorOps
• Jenkins
• Spinnaker

Qualifications

What you should bring (ideally): 

• You have a background of 3+ years of experience in System Engineering
• You have expertise in architecting, building, maintaining and securing high performing cloud infrastructure
• You share our passion for having everything in code and automated and embrace an engineering culture
• You have strong communication skills and are able to effectively communicate your thoughts and concepts to both engineers and managers (fluent in English, verbally and written)
• You are a cool person - that goes without saying!
