Casper is seeking a UX Copywriter to join our growing New-York-based Experience team.

Its critically acclaimed sleep surface was developed in-house, has a sleek design, and is delivered in a small, "how did they do that?"-sized box. When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do
  • Work closely with digital designers, product marketers, CX, sales, engineers and other copywriters. Collaborating with each, you’ll establish cohesive language and a unified voice across products and platforms.
  • Write clear, consistent, concise product copy. This will be everything from how we position new products and design purchase, onboarding and education flows, to notifications, FAQs and what our buttons say.
  • Find appropriate tone and balance — at times leaning more heavily into business performance and others leaning into brand
  • Work quickly to unblock teams through alignment and and then rigorously iterate and fanatically edit.
  • Split your time between tweaking and iterating on copy to gradually optimize parts of the experience, working through new features and providing copy for prototyping and testing.
  • You will work to know our customers inside out and always present your content recommendations in the context of customer and product goals.
  • You will effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines of different sizes and scales.
  • Create and help maintain UX writing guidelines that are in line with Casper’s overall brand, in partnership with our creative team.
  • Work closely with other copywriters to develop holistic approaches to meeting the variety of business needs and ensure a degree of consistency across channels and touchpoints.
  • You will use data and customer research to evaluate and improve our product content strategy and contribute hypotheses for product copy A/B testing. 
Our dream candidate is...
  • 5+ years of experience writing or editing for the web and mobile experiences.
  • Brand-marketing and/or performance marketing writing experience required.
  • Native fluency in written and verbal English.
  • Love language and have strong feelings about style, grammar, tone, and voice.
  • Understand how copy and design work together and are interested in how your words are applied, influence and contribute to an overall customer experience.
  • Detail oriented and systems thinker — working smartly to generate copy that scales and not generating one-offs and new words every time.
  • Strong appreciation for brand and understand how language can be a differentiator.
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable gathering multiple perspectives
  • Confident in your point of view, but willing to adjust based on input from others.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and complexity and revel in writing your way out of uncertainty.
  • Persevere. You value learning over time — appreciating that we may not get everything right straight away and reveling in the opportunity to improve and fix things.
  • Embrace brevity, simplicity and humor. You know when to be direct, and when it’s good to be a bit more playful.
