Director Structuring & Deal Execution

Funding Circle is looking for an outstanding Director, Structuring & Deal Execution to join our Capital Markets team. Funding Circle is the leading small business lending platform globally and the Capital Markets team is responsible for ensuring we have a deep and diverse funding base to support our origination growth. As a Director in structuring and deal execution, you will work as an integral member of the Global Capital Markets team.

This role will be primarily inward facing but will involve close collaboration with our institutional salesforce as well as investors and other external stakeholders. You will be representing Funding Circle, often to C-level executives, which requires a high level of confidence and diligence. To excel in this position, you must be passionate about supporting small businesses, be collaborative and possess a positive and upbeat attitude. This position will be located in San Francisco or New York.

 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and structuring of specific US Capital Market transactions including securitizations, warehouse facilities and forward flow arrangements
• Lead the execution of transactions including but not limited to the commercial and legal negotiation of the transaction and project manage all external and internal stakeholders and processes to close the transaction within defined time frames
• Devise and lead new strategic product and structuring initiatives
• Actively participate on the Global Capital Markets Strategy team
• Serve as an investment product expert within Funding Circle
• Provide the investor perspective within Funding Circle particularly with regard to asset pricing and risk profiles relative to alternative options available to investors

 What You Will Need To Have

• 10+ years of experience in investment management or investment banking in a structuring or execution role
• Experience in reviewing legal documents and utilizing financial models
• Deep understanding of fixed income assets, markets and portfolio management techniques across different investor types; experience in structuring transactions
• Well organized, high energy, self-starter, ability to work independently within the Company’s demanding and highly focused environment. Entrepreneurial skills are key to success in this role
• Service-oriented mindset with a sense of urgency when responding to internal and external requests
• The energy and resolve to lead from the front and drive projects through to completion
• Excellent written and communication skills; extremely strong attention to detail
• Unassailable ethics and integrity
