About the Role:

  • Providing daily operational support and oversight for contributions and distributions of funds to and from borrowers and investors according to SEPA standards
  • Identifying non-standard payments and account behavior and finding short/long term solutions
  • Understanding end-to-end flow of money through Funding Circle and the appropriate action for each type of payment
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulations and policies around client money movement
  • Coordinating internal workflows and processes with regards to new product functionalities
  • Giving input into projects aimed at improving processes and defining user requirements
  • Dealing with queries from external and internal customers regarding payments through a service desk ticketing system
  • Working with the engineering team during development and testing cycles
  • Closely cooperating with internal departments such as Financial Operations, Investor Relations, Sales, Data Teams, Collections, Capital Markets
  • Working with several systems and databases, e.g. JIRA, banking software

Our ideal Team-mate:

  • Ideally 6 months to 2 years working experience in operations or cash management teams in e-commerce or a similar field
  • Experience in payment processing, ideally within an organisation with client money responsibility
  • Very good understanding of business processes
  • Experience in working with SEPA and other international payment standards; experience in working with payment providers - ideal
  • Working style: focused, process- and detail-oriented; good communication skills; ability to closely follow pre-defined procedures, working standards and rules
  • Honesty and discretion when handling confidential financial information
  • A team-player, who can also take responsibility and work with a high level of autonomy
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Excellent English skills
