Payments Operations Analyst

Payment Operations is critical to our business operations here at Funding Circle. In this role, you will provide daily operational support to the flow of funds between borrowers and investors, perform daily reconciliations between systems and cash, and assist in developing and streamlining the daily operations to enhance controls and mitigate risk.  You will work with the rest of the Payments Team on ad hoc financial projects and analyses as they arise.  This role reports to the Payments Operations Manager.

Birds-eye view of the role:

• Provide daily operational support for contributions and distributions of funds to and from borrowers and investors via ACH, wires and checks
• Identify, review and resolve exceptions as they arise
• Perform daily reconciliations between systems and cash transactions
• Help to streamline treasury processes and procedures and enforce cash controls
• Assist with other ad hoc financial projects as they arise

Our ideal teammate has:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in payments or financial operations
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related Business discipline
• Analytical and inquisitive mindset with keen attention to detail
• Strong Excel abilities and technical aptitude
• A team player who can problem solve and is able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously
• A strong work ethic, enjoy getting your “hands dirty,” and excel in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be self-directed and able to work independently
