Product Manager (Institutional Investors)

Product Manager: Institutional Investors  The Product team is seeking an exceptional Product Manager to own our Institutional Investor products.

Our core product is a two sided marketplace where we connect small businesses (borrowers) looking for funding with investors.  

In 2016 Institutional Investors lent £600m through our platform – we need your help us get to £1 billion in 2017. 

In this role you will:

• Own the institution investor products
• Manage a development team’s backlog - write and prioritise stories, manage the roadmap
• Make decisions on scope to deliver value in small increments as quickly as possible
• Understand the minimum viable product (MVP) - prioritise what is needed for launch to learn as quickly as possible
• Manage relationships with stakeholders – be the go-to person for a wide range of colleagues and clients, enable fast decision making, keep track of deadlines and agendas
• Support existing clients - add new features and deal with client issues
• Analyse data to define, drive & prioritise optimisations and KPIs

• Passionate about data and detail
• Proven experienced with managing agile development teams - ideally remotely
• A mindset geared toward data analytics and reporting for measuring success
• The desire and ability to navigate from “what is being asked” to “what is the need”
• Strong, proven problem solving skills
• Solid technical background - understanding of web technologies and software development for complex data driven systems
• The ability to own product development throughout the entire product lifecycle, particularly the requirement and design phases

Bonus Points For:

• Prior experience with investor products and payment systems
• Experience in building asynchronous micro-services system.
• Engineering or Computer Science degree, or relevant experience
• Genuine interest in finance and especially debt markets
• Experience working on a global project with teams across geographies and time zones
