Marketplace owns the mobile and web platforms of GetYourGuide. We aim to deliver an amazing customer journey through great user interfaces and rigorous A/B testing. Our goal is to build an unbeatable travel marketplace and seamless booking experience for our users. Travelers Platform enables teams to build incredible cross-platform Traveler experiences through a stable and scalable platform.

We’re organized in cross-functional mission teams, which are composed of software engineers, mobile engineers and data engineers, along with product managers and designers. 

• Work in a cross-functional platform team with senior engineers
• Enable mission teams and stakeholders to operate smoothly and independently
• Continuously improve our code base and system’s scalability and performance
• Seek opportunities to improve the developer experience across teams and departments
• Mentor other team members and be involved with hiring 

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Expertise in web application development using component-based frameworks
• High proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: TypeScript, Java
• Experience designing architecture and deployment of web applications & services
• Experience with writing tests
• Ability to turn ideas into fast, reliable and maintainable code
• Positive, proactive team player who is passionate about their craft
• Customer-centric prioritization and data-driven decision-making
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Experience with building and maintaining CI solutions
• Experience with scaling SSR with a mono-repo infrastructure
• Knowledge of frameworks and toolchains such as Node.js, Vue.js or similar component-based Frontend application frameworks
• Prior experience working in the e-commerce space
• Prior experience in start-up environments
• Experience building & publishing packages
