Houzz is looking for a team-player with strong communication skills and superb attention to details to take on a role of Staff Accountant. In this position, you will work closely with the Accounting Manager in all aspects of finance and accounting.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with month-end closing procedures

Assist with AP, billing, and AR processes

Respond to vendor and customer inquiries

Post necessary monthly journal entries

Prepare monthly accounts reconciliation

Analyze and adjust balance sheet accounts as appropriate (A/P, A/R, Fixed Assets, etc.)

Maintain documentation of processes related to accounting procedures and internal controls

Partner with management to support and understand the business initiatives

Requirements & preferences for this position include:

College degree with a BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3+ years of progressive experience in Accounting

Strong knowledge of US GAAP

ERP systems experience, Intacct a plus

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel and Word)

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and adhere to tight deadlines

Precision/detail oriented with strong analytical skills

Proven ability to identify and drive process/system improvements

Team player and solid communicator (written and verbal skills); strong interpersonal skills including conscientiousness, diplomacy, flexibility, and dependability; ability to maintain confidentiality

Trustworthy, positive, energetic, optimistic attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves; most importantly, a good sense of humor!
