Description

Houzz, the largest home and design online community in the world, is looking for a smart, focused and detail-oriented interior design aficionado to assist our photo production team. This is largely a production internship, but the ideal candidate also will have an editorial affinity and an interest or background in interior design. A successful internship will result in a permanent contract offer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

You will be responsible for properly categorising incoming Houzz Shop products

Able to identify materials, products, styles and design details in home design photos

Detail-oriented and meticulous, but able to make decisions based on the big picture

Able to take direction well, anticipate next steps and ask necessary questions

A roll-up-your-sleeves, get-it-done personality with a friendly, outgoing attitude

Familiar with Houzz and excited by the idea of working in a fast-paced startup environment

Requirements

Tech-savvy and passionate about constantly improving tools to maximise the output

English native speaker, bilingual in one of the following languages is a plus: Italian, German, Swedish, Danish, Spanish or French

Knowledge of home decorating and design

Speedy and accurate web-based production and content management skills

Google Drive - especially Google sheet-skilled

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Degree or equivalent experience in English, design, journalism or communications

A good eye for design photography
