Description
iwoca is unlocking economic growth by expanding the financial possibilities available to small business owners. Since 2012, we've made finance available to over 50,000 businesses across Europe and lent over £1 billion. Our customers include everything from cafés to car dealers, salons to solicitors. Our mission is to fund 1 million businesses - and that’s why we need you.
iwoca is one of the fastest growing fintechs in Europe (Deloitte Fast 50; FT 1000 list). We secured significant Series D funding to fuel even more expansion and we were the winners of the £10m Banking Competition Remedies grant.
We are looking for smart, humble, motivated people with a growth mindset to join the Marketing team and help us speak to small businesses
We’re looking for a writer to join our team
We’ve recently developed a brand voice and trained a whopping 163 iwocans to use it – in our customer comms, in our marketing materials, in our internal messages and emails. Lending is a complicated area, and we want to make it straightforward as possible for small businesses to understand while still showing our distinctive personality and iwocaness.
Your mission will be to:
- write and own hero comms both internal and external(e.g. website copy, key customer comms, investor material, newletters and materials for press)
- look after the quality of our communication and find areas our communication could be better
- keep everyone engaged with and excited by our tone of voice
- demonstrate and measure the difference our writing makes
- lead our network of 12 tone of voice champs across the company - to build a strategy to increase our comm
- run one-on-one coaching sessions to help people write like iwoca and champion our tone of voice.
Of course, you’ll be doing a lot of writing yourself. In any given day, you might be polishing up some UX flows from our lending journey, fine-tuning our advertising, creating a whole set of customer emails or reworking our employee handbook.
