Your role


As a Collections Analyst, you will be a key business partner, responsible for leveraging our unique data infrastructure to guide decision making and drive day-to-day optimization initiatives. You will constantly monitor all available data streams to devise and effectively communicate clear actionable recommendations to the business team. You will deliver receivables monitoring, control and advisory services, build analysis and reporting excellence and help establish a highly efficient receivables management process.


Your day to day responsibilities will include: 


  • Inform (provide data-driven strategy inputs, analysis, reporting, recommendations) and participate in strategic business planning;
  • Design forward-looking KPIs and monitoring and evaluation systems that can provide performance tracking and early warning of potential issues;
  • Design and develop situational awareness tools to inform day-to-day decisions;
  • Using data, identify opportunities for operational and tactical optimization in collections processes and toolsets;
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis to pinpoint bottlenecks or root causes;
  • Own the data management process that ensures robust and comprehensive data sourcing (research, evaluate, integrate, store data);
  • Coach the business team on the daily use of data in decision making.

Your strengths


  • At least two years of experience in a business-facing data-driven position – e.g. consulting, analytics, advisory;
  • Exposure to collections (either retail or corporate) is a plus;
  • Relevant experience setting up business monitoring systems;
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with experience dealing with large and/or complex data sets; Excellent understanding of statistics and applied math; Experience with (process) optimization is a plus;
  • Expertise in Excel, SQL, Tableau (R is a distinct advantage);
  • Advanced university degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, etc.);
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and an ability to transform data into insight to support decision making;
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently/ self-directed and as a member of a team; attention to detail and timeliness in delivering on commitments; skilled in problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution; good communication skills.
