Senior Product Owner Underwriting (m/f) | Hamburg

Description

We are looking for an experienced Product lead for our underwriting engineering team that helps Kreditech manage fraud and risk. The team is responsible for one of the most complex technology system within the company given Kreditech uses 1000’s of data points to evaluate credit risk in near real time. You will be expected to bring your past experience in optimizing and improving underwriting processes, identify and implement new data sources/partners for improving our scoring models and help improve end to end conversion of all our lending product,  with a key focus on data protection and privacy laws.

A day in this job

• Manage Product and technology backlog and roadmap for underwriting engineering team for all markets
• Work closely with Data science and risk teams to improve on risk and fraud KPIs
• Identify and implement new data sources/partners to improve core business KPIs across : Risk, Fraud or user experience
• Collaborate with data science teams to continuously test and optimise underwriting process
• Work closely with lending product teams across different markets to continuously improve our online products end to end conversion and user experience
• Lead implementation of new projects to enhance company’s underwriting capabilities
• Ensure our underwriting process and use of data fully complies with GDPR laws
• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.

Desired skills & experience

• Background in Technical product management and development of at least 4-6 years; API Product management Experience will be preferred  
• Product/Technology Background in fraud/risk systems in financial/Insurance sector
• Technical skills and experience in data modelling/analytics using Python or R
• Formal education in engineering, computer science
• Knowledge in Agile project management (Scrum, Kanban);
• Demonstrated capability of working effectively in an international working environment;
• Any experience in following the markets would be ideal: India, Russia, Poland or Spain.
• Fluent in English.
