Latin America Credit Markets Reporter

Description

Debtwire, an Acuris company and the leading provider of news and analysis for the global fixed-income markets, is seeking a New York-based reporter to cover Latin American credit. Our Latin American product provides sophisticated investors and advisors with deep-dive coverage of in-region public and private companies, with an emphasis on high-yield, distressed and restructuring borrowers. The role is focused on breaking news in the primary and secondary markets for performing credit, as part of team of journalists and credit analysts based in New York and throughout the region.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting, writing and filing copy on a daily basis
• Contributing to special projects such as forums, webinars and podcasts
• Assisting with developing coverage outside of assigned beats
• Cultivating and meeting with sources
• In-region travel as necessary

Skills and Experience:

• Strong writing skills and an investigative mindset
• Time management and communication skills
• Networking and contact-building skills
• A self-starter attitude with a cooperative approach
• Spanish or Portuguese ability preferred
• Previous experience covering fixed-income markets or Latin America a plus
