Debtwire, the leading financial newswire for the fixed income markets, is looking for a driven journalist to expand its loans coverage for its Debtwire CEEMEA product. Working on the news desk, candidates will be expected to chase leads and publish news ahead of all other media outlets. Debtwire CEEMEA provides actionable intelligence for subscribers on situations across Central and Eastern Europe/CIS/Russia, Middle East and North Africa, plus sub-Saharan Africa. The role requires an analytical mind, a high attention to detail and a proactive approach to relationship development and source building of DCM bankers, lawyers and issuers. Candidates will also be required to produce secondary commentaries and features on market trends including legal and structural developments and assist in the collection of associated data. The role based in London is entirely focused on off-diary reporting and reporters are expected to use their own initiative to uncover leads from market sources. Experience of financial markets and/or debt finance would be highly advantageous. The position will offer the opportunity for foreign travel and moderating at conferences. The successful candidate will have:
