Strategy Manager (Milano - Chiasso)

In a moment of furious growth, Sailogy is looking to hire a Strategy Manager that will work side-by-side with the CEO and will ensure that the strategy of the company is well crafted and effectively implemented. The ideal candidate is proactive, strongly motivated by results and has a demonstrated ability to work independently. 


The Strategy Manager will be predominantly required to:

1. Influence decision making process through top-level data analysis and recommendations.

• The candidate will identify relevant data sets to analyse and prepare a diverse array of reports and studies; 
• Promptly brief the CEO and other relevant stakeholders through concise, insightful and structured presentations/docs;  
• Monitor business scenario to proactively select potential areas for innovation and create the conditions to transform ideas into projects.  

2. Ensure that the agenda of the CEO is effectively implemented.

• This will involve design tools to monitor the different projects by selecting and tracking relevant KPIs;  
• keep the team informed about the progresses, resolve bottlenecks, prepare contingency plans to re-allocate resources in order to ensure maximum delivery. 
 

3. Proactively support the CEO in day-by-day activities.

• The candidate will ensure that meetings are well prepared, material is ready, important issues have been selected and scenarios have been run;  
• Decisions are followed-up with appropriate material / actions, projects are fully resolved with desired outcome; 
• New opportunities are properly assessed, partners are identified, actions are put in place and monitored; 
• Unexpected activities - quite routine for a start-up - do not become emergencies. 

4. Get his/her hands dirty by looking after a wide array of mini admin-tasks.

• This work stream is not expected to account for more than 10% of the time of Strategy Manager. 

 
• The position will require a great amount of flexibility as the agenda is likely to evolve at a fast pace and travelling will be the norm. Additionally, the candidate needs to be extremely reliable and able to quickly win the absolute trust of the CEO in order to be handed-over confidential information and critical tasks. 

 

The ideal candidate:

• Speaks and writes perfect English and Italian - German language is a strong plus  
• Has at least 2 years of experience at a top strategy consulting firm or M&A practice in bank of financial advisor.  (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A TOP CONSULTING FIRM OR HAVE AN M&A BACKGROUND!!)
• Produces error-less business and financial models, has the ability to synthesise his thinking into simple, elegant and insightful slides (Keynote is a plus)  
• Has great communication skills, strong energy, high standing, The candide is likely to manage critical meetings and must posses confidence and charisma to get his message through.  
• Is at ease with complex environments, demanding schedules, fast-paced business dynamics.  
• The candidate is a fast-learner, curious, quick-thinker, motivated by growth and results. 

 

Additional Information


• Starting date: as soon as possible
• Location: Chiasso (CH) or Milano – The Strategy Manager will be likely to spend majority of his time across these two offices of the Company;
