AML Reporting Specialist

TransferWise’s fast-growing and international anti-money laundering team is looking for a skilful and passionate AML Suspicious Activity Reporting Specialist to join the team based in Budapest. If you are passionate about finding out things - this is a job for you!

We are looking for someone who is a good team player and isn’t afraid to take responsibility. We have a lot of excitement in our work, but you should also be able to tolerate some routine stuff that needs to be done. 

Your responsibilities will be:

• Preparing and submitting high quality suspicious activity reports to financial intelligence units globally.
• Independently conducting searches, gathering data and recording evidence from internal systems, the internet, commercial databases and enquiry with customers.
• Responding to requests for information in a timely and professional manner. 
• Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships at all levels of the organization.

What do you need to have?

• 1 - 3 years of experience in AML field, preferably in investigating and reporting suspicious activity.
• Experience with investigative techniques, report writing and good analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritise, multi-task and take responsibility in challenging situations.
• Strong attention to detail and curious mind and internal desire to find out stuff.
• Skills to recognize patterns, an eye for detail but also an ability to see the big picture and how the details fit together.
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritising, taking responsibility and working with tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Portuguese and/or Spanish is a plus.
