So, what’s the role?


Our growing IT team is looking for a talented Audio Visual Specialist who will be supporting all aspects of audio / visual technologies in our Tallinn office. This will include both Video Conferencing and event support. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building the best IT experience possible while working in a disruptive, fast-growing and fun environment.


What you’ll do day-to-day


  • Support cross-office events & web conferencing meetings with any audio/video requirements and act as SPOC for the duration of the event

What do you need to have?


  • A combination of experience in any of the following fields or others related - sound engineering, general AV, events manager, video editor.
  • Knowledge about cameras and their functionality, lighting and sound for live events, and able to set it all up
  • Experience with stage setup, maintenance and troubleshooting and with running live shows. Experience performing as many roles as possible is ideal (such as camera op, vision mixer, technician and direct support to presenters and other staff members)
  • Some experience in video editing. Familiar with all the basic functionality included with Adobe Premiere Pro or others.
  • Familiarity with streaming solutions and software such as OBS.
  • Experience in audio recording and editing - past experience setting up for live bands and using a recording studio is beneficial
  • Experience with Zoom or other cloud based video conferencing solutions
  • Basic knowledge of streaming codecs, formats and different streaming services in order to troubleshoot and gain a deeper understanding of issues that may arise
  • Flexibility with working hours to accommodate various events in different time zones
  • Self-motivated, proactive, able to prioritise and adapt quickly during high pressure situations
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken), sense of humor and a positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to travel to other TransferWise offices
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in AV technology.
  • Willing to step out of your comfort zone and learn new skills. Eg: get involved in new office fit-outs.

Nice to haves


  • Basic IT skills such as LogMeIn, security and password management, cloud storage, documentation and ticketing systems (JIRA).
  • Some experience with internal IT help desk and/or customer support related work
  • Some knowledge of Crestron, AMX or Q-Sys programming
  • Regularly check meeting rooms, test and ensure video conferencing equipment is functional.
  • Respond to problems as they arise and follow up to ensure the issue is resolved.
  • Support the audio/video experience in TransferWise London office
  • Participate in AV planning for new offices globally
  • Provide meeting room operation training sessions for the teams on an as-needed ongoing basis. Create support training material for peers to help troubleshoot and maintain equipment
