Customer Support Associate (Portuguese Speaking)


We’re looking for Portuguese speaking Customer Support Associates to join our growing team in Tampa, Florida. The role is a unique opportunity to join a team of people who are passionate about customer support, who love to talk to customers, and who want to work in a disruptive, fast-growing, and fun environment. Our Customer Support Associates are here to help millions more potential customers save money by using TransferWise.

Your mission:


  • Provide world-class customer support via chat, email, phone, and social media channels to Portuguese and English speaking customers
  • Understand that making a customer happy is crucially important to a business's success
  • Be creative, friendly, and solution-oriented with customers and colleagues
  • Understand the need to meet expectations, rise above them, and go that extra mile for customers

This role will give you the opportunity to:


  • Make an impact - you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, but you’ll also have the freedom and support to improve processes and take on additional projects as you grow into the role

  • Work globally - our customers are all over the world and our team members are just as diverse. You could potentially travel to work in other locations as well. With offices from Tampa to Tokyo, and several places in between, you’ll interact with a global staff of 70+ nationalities operating in 11 offices (and counting)
  • Inspire teams - with your ideas, knowledge, self-starting attitude, and customer insight, you’ll directly drive innovation and help us make money borderless

A bit about you:


  • Previous customer support experience, preferably in banking, internet, or telecom industries, or in an international customer care centre
  • Excellent verbal & written Portuguese and English skills, as you will be communicating with Portuguese customers most of the time
  • Flexible in working hours since we work day and night for our customers
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Great typing skills (at least 35 words per minute required, you will be tested)
  • We're ideally looking for someone who has worked in customer support before, but we're willing to work with the right person, whatever their experience, if they have a passion for helping customers
  • Must already be legally authorized to work in the US. We cannot support visas for this role. This is a physical position in Tampa, Florida
